Anonymous asked: There's a lot of blogs under the name 'novice chef", how did yours come about?

I wish I could tell you a more inspiring story, but the truth is I was browsing the theme garden while listening to “Notion” by Kings of Leon and came across the “Notations” theme by Ben Delaney and thought the combination had a nice ring to it. I’m also a big fan of alliterations so the word “Novice” to describe beginner was the obvious choice (there was also “newb”, but novice sounded better). Too bad they didn’t have a word for cooks that begins with an N.
