
Trying to find the cause and, consequently, a way to fix it myself. If I can’t then I guess it’s off to the camera doctors.
My camera has been experiencing Error 99 for the past month, I think, and it really bugs me because I can’t take photos while the lens is zoomed out. Even the usual ingredients overhead shot is getting harder to take because to beat zoomed in the lens I have to stand on higher grounds (currently achieved by standing on tip-toe on the dining chair). If anyone has any information or suggestions, do enlighten me.
Hi, assuming your camera is a canon, do a google search on “error 99 canon” and click on “richardsnotes.org” or something like that. They have some interesting info on that error. Hope this helps!

Thank you! The camera is now dismantled and I’m going to give it a good cleaning while waiting for the battery to charge.
